Mark your calendars! The official PSA Nationals 2022 Meet & Greet will take place on Thursday, November 3rd at 6:00 PM at Olive Tree Cafe in South Charleston. This is your chance to kick off the event with fellow competitors, meet the judges, and participate in the official draw ceremony.

What to Expect
The Meet & Greet is an essential part of PSA Nationals, offering participants the opportunity to connect before the competition begins. Here's what's planned for the evening:
🎉 Social Networking
Connect with fellow competitors from across the nation. Share training experiences, discuss techniques, and build relationships with other PSA members. This is a great opportunity to meet people you may have only known online or through previous competitions.
👨⚖️ Meet the Judges
Get introduced to the PSA-certified judges who will be officiating the competition. While they can't discuss specific scoring or judging details, this is your chance to put faces to names and understand their backgrounds in protection sports.
🎲 Official Draw Ceremony
The highlight of the evening! All participants will draw their competition order for the weekend. This determines when you'll compete in your respective categories. The draw is conducted fairly and transparently, with all participants present.
📦 Participant Package Distribution
Pick up your official participant package, which includes:
- Competition bib/number
- Event schedule with your specific time slots
- Venue map and parking information
- Participant credentials and wristband
- Event t-shirt or commemorative item
- Vendor coupons and promotional materials
🍽️ Light Refreshments
Enjoy complimentary appetizers and beverages while you mingle. Olive Tree Cafe will provide a selection of Mediterranean-inspired hors d'oeuvres and soft drinks. A cash bar will also be available for those who wish to purchase alcoholic beverages.

⚠️ Please Note
- Attendance is strongly encouraged for all registered participants to receive your package and learn your competition order
- Dogs are not permitted at the Meet & Greet venue due to restaurant regulations
- Dress code is casual - come comfortable and ready to socialize
- RSVP is not required but appreciated for catering purposes
- Parking is available in the restaurant lot and nearby street parking
- If you cannot attend, arrangements can be made to pick up your package on Friday morning at the venue

Olive Tree Cafe is a beloved local restaurant in South Charleston, known for its warm atmosphere and delicious Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant has graciously agreed to host our Meet & Greet in their private event space.

What Happens After the Draw?
Once the draw ceremony is complete, you'll know exactly when you're competing throughout the weekend. We recommend:
- Review your schedule - Check your competition times and plan accordingly
- Plan your arrival - Remember to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time
- Coordinate with your team - If you have multiple dogs or are part of a training group, coordinate schedules
- Get rest - Competition starts early Friday morning, so plan to get a good night's sleep
Can't Make It?
We understand that travel schedules can be challenging. If you're unable to attend the Meet & Greet:
- Your competition order will still be drawn (a representative will draw on your behalf)
- You can pick up your participant package on Friday morning at the registration desk (opens at 7:00 AM)
- Your schedule will be emailed to you by 9:00 PM on Thursday evening
